Acquiring, archiving, preserving and promoting regional cultural heritage, in order to digitise and preserve the cultural assets of museum archives: this is what is required of the platform developed within the ATLANTE project.
The ATLANTE project enhances digital humanities in museums, using AI and immersive technologies to enhance data and make culture accessible to all.
To digitise and preserve archive assets, the project is developing a platform that allows for easy and immersive enjoyment of the works both remotely and in museums: archivists create 3D models from photos of real artefacts, cataloguing the content with artificial intelligence algorithms. The project continues with the design and implementation of hardware and software infrastructure for the structured storage, cataloguing and retrieval of 2D and 3D archive documents and related multimedia content. In addition, an application is being implemented to upload and make this content available via the web, thanks to the integration of the results of Smart Tagging and Smart Suggestion algorithms.
The operational context chosen for the validation of the platform is that of the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation, which will provide the use case by making available its archive dedicated to the famous tenor.

The expected results of the project are linked to the validation of the complete platform with all its functionalities for assisted digitisation, intelligent archiving and immersive use of cultural heritage assets in VR and AR environments, through special apps for the use of digital content, which interact with the platform and can be installed on specific devices.
