The TRACK project targets stakeholders in the agri-food sector, aiming to enhance their knowledge and skills regarding blockchain technology. The project aims to facilitate the ongoing innovation process in this key sector, where digital expertise is increasingly required. Blockchain technology can offer several advantages to the agri-food sector, such as improving traceability and simplifying and integrating associated supply chains. However, this technology is still rarely applied in the European Union. The TRACK project therefore aims to promote its use and raise awareness among industry operators by creating an interactive training platform.

The development of the training platform began with an initial design and development phase for the training modules. This included stakeholder focus groups at various levels, as well as content and training model development. The latter was validated through transnational training sessions. Based on the results of preparing and evaluating the training modules, the project then moved on to designing, implementing and configuring the e-learning platform, and testing it. Once the platform had been built and the training modules uploaded, a testing and optimisation phase followed. A transnational action plan was developed to coordinate and monitor the efforts of the various partners and ensure the achievement of the set objectives.

The main outcome is enhanced skills among professionals in the agri-food sector with regard to blockchain technology and its application in their daily work. The platform provides a solid foundation for training professionals and raises their awareness of issues and implications arising from the use of blockchain technology, such as organisational models and governance. Furthermore, the project strengthens and expands the network of cooperation and knowledge sharing across national borders and among the various stakeholders involved in innovation processes within the agri-food sector.
